Bruce Daniels
Minister
Bruce has been the minister at Somersham Baptist Church since September 2009. Previously he ran a cancer research laboratory in Cambridge and was a qualified lawyer. He and his family have joined us from Bluntisham Baptist Church. He is married to Isabel and they have two children. Bruce completes his “on the job” training” at Spurgeon’s College in London this summer, where he's been three days a week. and will become our full-time minister from September 2012.
Bruce’s hobbies include sport, with a particular passion for football. He’s played on the European stage against Gramozi FC of Albania, during a mission tour to the country and is looking forward to building closer ties with Somersham Town FC. He also enjoys reading, not just course books, and is pleased to have the library in the village.
Bruce would like to see the church more involved in the community, building bridges to enable people to discover more about the Christian faith, as God meets them where they are at, enabling them to find Jesus and their place in God’s family, the church.

Mark Cusworth
Deacon for Discipleship
Mark joined Somersham Baptist Church in September 2007 after God prompted him to move to the village and to be part of the church. He was baptised at Bluntisham Baptist Church when it was the sister church to Somersham. While a member of Easthampstead Baptist Church in Bracknell he received training and encouragment in this leadership gift. His passion is to see church done in a way that is relevent to todays culture and reflects the love and glory of God. He is a dad of 3 boys who are a real blessing and the source of much joy.

Graham Lodge
Deacon for Worship
Somersham Baptist Church is Graham’s first home church as it was where he became a Christian (at 38) and where he was baptised; so as he would say, “it's a very special place”. As well as being a guitar player and a regular worship leader Grahm is husband to Ruth, father to 3 grown up children and a much younger son; while designing electronics pays the bills. He describes life as pretty full.

Sharon Cusworth
Deacon for Children & Young People
Sharon joined Somersham Baptist Church in September 2007 and run the children’s work. Her passion is to create a work that shows children under the age of 11 the love of God and how they can have a personal relationship with Him. She became a Christian at the age of 7 and was baptised at the age of 12. She is very aware how God can use children in His ministry and is a firm believer that we all need to come to God with the attitude of a child, their openness and readiness to accept what God wants to do. God has allowed this ministry to grow rapidly in the last 4 years and she prays that it will continue to grow.

Ruth Lodge
Deacon for Mission/Outreach
Ruth is married to Graham and mum to Daniel. Since 2000 she has taught music at a local secondary school but has recently given this up to be a full time mum. In her spare time she teaches piano and plays bassoon in a Chamber Orchestra in St. Ives. Ruth has a keen interest in France and is currently a trustee for a French church planting organisation. In church life she is responsible for the 11-14's programme, DYNAMITE, and also leads a house group. Her special focus is enhancing fellowship and mutual pastoral care within the church.

Pete Driscoll
Deacon for Administration
Pete joined Somersham Baptist church in May 2010 after moving into the village from North East London. He is married to Brenda and they have two grown up children and two grandchildren.
He was a member of his previous Church, in Chingford, for twenty years and was in leadership for 17 years of which he was Church Secretary for 15 years.
He enjoys reading, jogging and supporting Tottenham Hotspur football club.
His desire is to see people becoming Christians through faith in Jesus.
